Prom and Concerts 2010
07/23/10 at 04:16:17

Hello to you all and my apologies for not popping in as much recently, it's been hectic to say the least!

Well, tomorrow marks the start of my Prom Concerts with the first being at Hyde Park in Hyde, Manchester - A lovely selection of music for this one including Bond Classics and some movie songs too as well as the usual flag waving material - I'm very much looking forward to it and to seeing a lot of you there too, and my thanks in advance for those travelling quite a way!

I can now announce that I will be featuring a lot in this years BBC Salford Proms In The Park at Buile Hill Park here in Salford on September 11th from 6:30pm; we are in the process of finalizing the programme as we speak, but as well as the usual I am hopeful to be showcasing some new material with Jenny Williams during the pre-show, then perhaps a couple of solos, and rumour has it that there will be a Sound Of Music medley this year, so yes, no dancing!! I'll keep you updated when I know more, but don't forget that you can always watch live on BBC1 via the red interactive button, and of course the night will feature Juliette Pochin and the legendary John Barrowman. I also hear they have a new presenter for this one which is certainly an eye opener so watch this space for more details.........

As of Monday, I shall be away for a week on Cunard's Queen Victoria, the ship I part launched 3 years ago now - I shall be performing 2 celebration concerts alongside Natasha Marsh, Conductor Anthony Inglis and The Liverpool Phillharmonic Orchestra, and 2 further showcase performances with Jenny Williams whilst we are aboard touring the British Isles which promises to be a lot of fun! I shall bring back pics for you all and whatever video footage I can get too - which reminds me, keep checking back to the main site which will be updated with new footage and news etc in the next day or so.

My love and best wishes to you all as always,

J.xxx Wink

Morning all,

Well, it was a great night at the Proms in Hyde; a big thank you to all who travelled and came to support us at what was an incredible evening - I will write more about it soon and thankfully we have a LOT of footage to go on the main site soon too, but in the mean time, here below is a link for a little teaser video from last night!

What a fabulous evening. it has to rank among one of the best proms events I've been to. The venue was perfect, as was the music and all the artists, and despite a bit of drizzle it really was was a great evening.  Cheesy

Really enjoyed last night's prom.  Maureen summed it up perfectly.  Thanks Jon and Jenny for a great evenings entertainment.

Looking forward to Salford.  Particularly delighted to hear that you will be singing with Jenny again.  That was for me the best part of last years Salford Prom.  This year sounds like it will be a brilliant night  Cheesy

Glad it all went well at Hyde, unfortunately Paul had a bad experience with some ignorant followers of the  support act at his show.

That's not good Alf. Hope it didn't spoil things for you.

Unfortunately they did spoil the night for Paul and his fans Maisi, it was obvious they had only come to see the support act.
I have seen this happen before - even to top artistes.
I am sure Paul will put it all down to experience and move on with future shows tailored only to his kind of audience.

That's a shame Alf....there is always some selfish people who can't let others enjoy a show. Like you I've seen it happen many times.  Roll Eyes

I spoke with Paul yesterday; these things happen and he is absolutely fine with it all - onwards and upwards!

You missed a great night Alf, hope to catch you again soon at another event; video footage will soon be up on my youtube channel so watch this space!
