Hello one and all!
Well, I had a fantastic time aboard The Queen Victoria; I performed alongside soprano Natasha Marsh (who this time is expecting twins!) and the Hallé Orchestra whilst docked in Liverpool with our good friend Anthony Inglis conducting; The Royal Court Theatre on board was packed to the rafters for both performances (we had to do 2 sittings as it were so everyone got a chance to see) and it was a lot of fun.
The next day was a day off for us as ths ship docked in Belfast, so we had a mooch around the centre and then headed back to the ship to dine with the big wigs at Cunard and other distinguished guests, including the legendary maritime artist Robert Lloyd whom we met last year and beacme friends; he was actually creating yet another portrait of the ship whilst on board which was stunning, and he even let Jenny add a few seaguls to it too before it finished which she was delighted about! We will have some pics to show you of our trip very soon so keep checking back!
On our voyage we also stopped at Greenock and also South Queensferry in Scotland before heading back to Southampton, and Jenny and myself gave further performances for the guests of which we were given standing ovations for each show which was very pleasing to say the least!
Anyway, it's back to work this week and back on our charity drive too so I'd best get back to it, so my love and best wishes to you all as always,
J.xxx
